Lector and Gospel Reader Workshop is an interactive video workshop that combines the liturgical and spiritual aspects of being an effective lector with public speaking techniques. The workshop addresses the role of the lector according to Vatican II and provides the latest information on the General Instruction of the Roman Missal. Participants will learn breathing techniques and will recite Scriptural tongue twisters and word emphasis exercises before proclaiming a reading on camera for group critiques. The kit contains all instruction, promotion, and marketing materials electronically for a parish to have a successful workshop. It also provides prayers and valuable handouts for home study.

Audrey Sommers, lector trainer for the Archdiocese of Detroit, has created a unique, interactive workshop for both new and experienced lectors using her pubic speaking skills as an award-winning television news anchor.
Monsignor John Zenz, Moderator of the Curia for the Archdiocese of Detroit, assists Ms. Sommers by providing insight into the liturgical aspects of proclaiming God’s word effectively.
