Alive in the Spirit! prepares teens (ages 12-14) for Confirmation by building on the strong bond between the three sacraments of initiation: Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist. Candidates are invited to answer the call God made to them in Baptism, to deepen their commitment to live as committed Catholics with the gifts of the Holy Spirit in Confirmation, and to be nourished and strengthened in their faith in the Eucharist.

Families, as the first educators of children, are encouraged to be part of this Confirmation journey; and the parish community, meeting each Sunday in a Eucharistic gathering that is a visible sign of the wonders of God’s actions in our lives, is also invited to support the young candidates.

Experientially-based and ritually-centered, Alive in the Spirit! features session plans and activities presented in an easy-to-follow format that provides catechists with all the tools they need for success.
