Celebrating the Lectionary for High School 2011-2012: Supplemental Lectionary-Based Resource

Celebrating the Lectionary for High School calls teens to choose their words, decisions, and actions based on the message of the Sunday Gospel. Use of this resource as part of a high school religion curriculum or youth ministry program will help teens to explore their Catholic identity through the words of the Lectionary, discuss related passages from major Church documents, and grow in their familiarity of the solemnities, feasts, and memorials of the liturgical year. The take-home page for each week is written for parents, encouraging discussion and ongoing faith sharing between parents and teens at home. This resource is written for high school teenagers in grades 9-12 (approximately ages 14-18).

Any of the Celebrating the Lectionary resources, whether for preschoolers, primary, intermediate, junior high, or high school students, will provide you with quick reflections on the Gospel readings for Sundays and holy days of obligation from August 7, 2011 through June 24, 2012. They are great supplements to school curriculum or another faith formation program providing teachers and catechists with an easy guide for facilitating prayer. For easier duplication, every book comes with a CD-ROM which contains all the activity sheets found throughout the resource.
