The Word to Go provides weekly reproducible handouts for every Sunday and holy day of obligation of the liturgical year. Each handout provides a scripture reflection, questions for discussion or reflection, and simple activities that can be done at home or with groups to bring the Lectionary into daily life. This resource can be used in a variety of ways. It might be reproduced for participants in parish groups or committees, it might be sent home with children from school or faith formation, or it might be placed as an insert into the Sunday bulletin.
The Word to Go builds community by allowing your parish members to transcend divisions of age and experience to find common ground from which to reflect and act upon the liturgy and Lectionary readings. It accomplishes this through reflection questions that are applicable to families and individuals and offers suggestions for activities and service. The Word to Go 2010-2011 provided handouts for each Sunday and holy day of obligation during the school year-plus-summer schedule. Starting with The Word to Go 2011-2012, the handouts will run on a liturgical year schedule, beginning with Advent and carrying through the end of the liturgical year.
