El año de gracia 2012 Doble carta plástificado
Illustrated by Joseph Malham

This Catholic liturgical calendar begins with the First Sunday of Advent, November 27, 2011, and presents all the Sundays and weekdays of the liturgical year up to the Saturday of the Thirty-fourth Week in Ordinary Time, December 1, 2012. This year’s calendar presents an artistic theology of Mary and the saints. You can use this calendar to explain this theology to children and adults. Activities and discussion starters have been provided. With these beautiful images of Mary and the saints, this calendar can also be used for prayer and meditation. This calendar works best with a top and bottom that stay in the same place all year.

On the back of the calendar you will find a guide to using the calendar, general information about the liturgical year, and information about the art and artist.

Use the calendar to promote reflection and discussion especially about  the Catholic theology of the communion of saints.  Ideas for classroom activities and sessions are provided!

Use the Year of Grace Calendars in many ways:

  • give (or sell) one to every household in the parish and school
  • hang a poster calendar in every classroom to teach about the liturgical year
  • have students report on the significance of various liturgical days
  • present calendars to first communicants and Confirmation candidates
  • adorn the church vestibule and gathering space with a poster calendar
  • decorate the teacher's lounge, offices, and other public areas in the school while helping everyone who enters remember the importance of the liturgical year!

Calendars are available in both in English and Spanish!
