This 13-month tear-off planning calendar runs from November 28, 2010 the First Sunday of Advent, until December 31, 2011. It is 22" X 17" and may be used as a desk blotter or hung on the wall. Its easy-to-use monthly format provides ample space for recording plans and schedules as well as including pertinent Roman Catholic liturgical information and secular holidays and observances. The liturgical information provided follows the norms prescribed by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops' Committee on the Liturgy. Celebrations proper to the dioceses of Canada have also been included. The Roman Catholic titles for each day are given, along with the citations of readings for Mass, the liturgical colors, and other Catholic observances, such as First Fridays and Catholic Schools Week. This year's calendar includes excerpts from the Gospel according to Matthew, the primary evangelist for Year A. The calendar is beautifully illustrated with art from Clip Art for Years A, B, and C by Stephen Erspamer, SM, a collection of reproducible liturgical art published by LTP. A pastoral notes section is conveniently located on the last page of this calendar. This section explains in detail elements necessary to understand the calendar and the liturgical year.
